I sorted through the 800+ pending member applications tonight. I approved 6 of them and even a couple of them are questionable.
If you wish to register as a new member please bare in mind that we get a lot of spam which has to be filtered out. Please make sure you use your real name, martial related name or a proper nickname when registering, as well as the blatant spam and strange words I won't be accepting any acronyms either. Email addresses are also checked for authenticity if yours is a dodgy one you will probably not be accepted. Hotmail, Yahoo, talktalk, etc, etc are generally ok when accompanied by a username as above.
I only sorted through the last 3 weeks of pending members so if you registered before then and haven't heard anything then please try again.
To survive this forum needs some fresh input so I will monitor pending members for the foreseeable future.

Now that we have the forum back - and I hope I am not the only one to be pleased about that - I'd like to reiterate some basic rules of engagement:
- Normal everyday rules of respect and decency apply at all times
- Everybody has the right to an opinion and the right to state it
- If you do post, and please do, someone is going to disagree with you. Live with it
- If you are going to argue, and again please do, argue against the points made, not the person making them
- Be who you say you are
Last time this forum degenerated into something fairly unpleasant. Lets try to avoid that second time around and try to build something worth having.

No more UGS

Guys. I'm sorry but after much deliberation I have decided that I am no longer going to organise the UGS events. Not an easy decision but I feel that I will not be giving my best to the event. If anybody would like to take the UGS in hand then please volunteer and I'll hand it over providing you're not an arse.
My apologies to Goran and Art who had both volunteered to take part in this years event and to those that intended to take part.
My thanks to everyone that has taken part and supported the previous events especially Gray Wendes, Jon Law and KB who have all attended each and every UGS event.
And of course thanks to all the instructors that took part and made the event the successes that they were. A special thanks to Gavin Mulholland and Chris Rowen, whom despite only taking part in one UGS event each both have shown an overwhelming amount of support for the event.
So that's it, the end of an era and a very difficult decision. Personally I'd like to see someone take the event on and for UGS events continue long into the future....
